Provide social work services to patients and their families, addressing their emotional, social, and practical needs. Assess and intervene in situations involving illness, handicaps, death, and loss to improve patient care and staff effectiveness. Utilize knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, etiology, and disease processes to support the client population.
