You’ll need
Licensure
✓Arizona: Active license through Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
✓Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) is required.
Certifications
✓Interest in obtaining or maintaining substance use, addiction, or transplant-related specialty certification.
✓A list of approved certifications is available on Mayo Clinic intranet sites.
✓Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) (www.naces.org) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) (www.aice-eval.org).
Specialty certification/training as preferred by the work area.
Education
✓A MSW degree is required from an accredited Masters of Social Work Program.
✓A detailed equivalency evaluation is required, demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree.
Qualifications
✓Must have an advanced knowledge of categories in mental illness, personality development, knowledge of the types of psychiatric treatment, and skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.
✓Must have knowledge in adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease.
✓Strong human relation skills are needed to interact with patients, patient's family members, consultants, residents, hospital personnel, community agencies, and other resources.
✓Must also have psychosocial diagnostic skills.
✓Licensure by applicable state requirements.
✓LMSW with 2 years medical experience required.
✓Internal applicants currently employed by Mayo Clinic are required to attach their three most recent performance appraisals. If less than three have been completed, please attach as many as are available. Failure to include evaluations may result in disqualification due to an incomplete application.
