You’ll need
Licensure
✓A current license to practice social work in the State of Michigan.(LMSW or LLMSW)
Certifications
✓Financial support for continuing education and certifications
Education
✓Social Worker MSW Senior / Social Worker MSW
✓A master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
✓Advancement through the career ladder at the Expert or Clinical Scholar Level is required for placement in the MSW Senior Classification.
✓Springport High School
Qualifications
✓Some experience of professional social work.
✓This classification requires Primary Source Verification.
Previous clinical social work experience, including group and individual psychotherapy, with children and their families. preferred
Skill in quickly developing rapport and effective communication with a diverse patient population preferred
Efficient, accurate assessment of patient needs and effective case dispositions. preferred
Effective organizational skills, flexibility, self-motivation, the ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks. preferred
Independent, sound decision-making is necessary for success in this position. preferred
Effective collaboration with school staff while maintaining patient confidentiality. preferred
Proficiency in keeping accurate and timely clinical documentation using electronic health records. preferred
Diagnostic experience using DSM-5. preferred
Experience delivering evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, etc.) and familiarity with brief, structured interventions (e.g., Motivational Interviewing). preferred
