Schedules and obtains history from patients. Evaluates the appropriateness of requested exams and assist radiologists. Maintains knowledge of equipment and instruments/supplies pertinent to high quality exams. Provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTSEducation:- RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
ARDMS) required – if registry not currently held, employee must be registered within one year as condition of continued employment.- Abdomen (ABD) or Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) registries as provided by the ARDMS required within one year of employment. Certification & Licensures:- BLS Certification - Must be registered with ARDMS within one (1) year of start date.
