✓Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer
✓ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Within 6 months of hire or transfer or ARRT with Advanced Ultrasound Certification - Within 6 months of hire or transfer
✓Policy Number: MIS-7040-115 - Caregivers must be BLS certified upon employment or within their 90-day probation period.
Education
✓Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent: General Studies
Qualifications
✓Graduate - Radiology Program with additional ultrasound training or Sonography program
✓Scheduling Requirements: Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.
Education - Associates Related Field preferred
Experience - 1+ years of Sonographer Experience; 1+ years of Staff Technologist Experience preferred

Applies sonographic sectional anatomy knowledge to assess for disease processes or other pathology and displays images using proper ultrasound scanning techniques.
