A typical day for a Special Procedures Technologists may include: Assist Radiologist with special examinations. Demonstrate competency with the use of RIS and PACS. Demonstrates competency in the use and sequencing of the power injection Employ professional judgment and discretion while performing all imaging procedures.
Maintain adequate stock levels in all procedure rooms. Maintain clean examination rooms and work environment in all areas. Performs diversified duties required f or the completion of special procedure examinations.
Report all equipment problems to the supervisor and enter an LT work order as appropriate. Use RadCode for interventional billing related to the section modality specific procedures Utilize principles of radiation protection for self and patients for every examination. Utilize proper positioning and technical factors to assure diagnostic quality images for interpretation.
Utilizes all components of the RIS Mammography Module for entering new and follow-up patient information.
