You’ll need
Licensure
✓Must meet and maintain current all unit specific and organizational skills/competencies, certifications/licensures, as required by the nursing area.
✓Must obtain and maintain an active, unrestricted Florida Speech-Language Pathology license as required by the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
✓Candidates who initially qualify to practice under a provisional license are expected to complete all requirements for full licensure within the applicable regulatory timeline (eligibility period not to exceed 21 months from date of hire).
✓Continued employment in this role is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining full Florida Speech-Language Pathology licensure.
Certifications
✓Provisional licensure is not considered the required long-term licensure status for this position.
✓American Heart Association and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers may be required at the unit level upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
✓AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) with 6 months validity
Education
✓Advanced degree in specialty is required.
Qualifications
✓Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.
✓Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
✓Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
✓Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
✓Ability to understand and follow instructions.
✓Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment.
✓Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.
