Essential Job functions:Interest in development and implementation of a speech language program within the Ear Nose and Throat Department including close collaboration with other specialtiesPerform comprehensive speech, language, and communications evaluations Instructs the patient and caregiver of the home speech therapy program. Treat disorders of:Articulation and phonologyExpressive and receptive language Fluency/stutteringVoiceCognitive-communicationSocial/pragmatic communicationEvaluate and treat swallowing disorders (dysphagia)Perform fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) procedurePerform or participate in Modified Barium Swallows Studies (MBSS) when appropriately trained and permitted by state/facility requirementsDevelop individualized treatment plans and measurable goalsProvide therapeutic interventions and patient/caregiver educationDocument evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and discharge recommendations in EPIC HERCollaborate with ENT surgeons, referring providers, clinical teams, and all healthcare professionalsRecommend appropriate diet modifications, compensatory swallowing strategies, and communication supports when indicatedMaintain appropriate licensure, certification, and continuing educationGeneral Job functions:Maintain certification in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment ProtocolInterpret instrumental and non-instrumental assessment of swallowing, including determining safetyOther job duties as requiredPhysical Job

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred2-4 years required. 5+ years preferredHead and Neck Cancer experience preferredCertification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Hearing and Language Association required. State license in Speech-Language Pathology.
