You’ll need
Licensure
✓State Speech Pathologist Licensure issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
✓Clinical Fellows: Must obtain State Speech Pathologist Licensure issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services upon hire.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.
✓National Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
✓After the first year, must obtain National Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
✓Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Education
✓Master's degree.
Qualifications
✓Some departments may require a valid fingerprint clearance card.
✓Knowledge of best practices used to evaluate and assist adults and children in the correction of speech, language and hearing issues.
✓Skill in assessing and treating patients for speech, language and hearing issues.
✓Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
✓Ability to write electronic reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
✓Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, patients and/or their representatives, and the general public.
✓Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
✓Ability to be proficient in developing, planning and using diagnostic tests, treatment techniques and evaluation procedures for patients with speech pathology.
None. Adult Outpatient Therapy: One (1) year of outpatient experience preferred. Will consider exceptional new graduate with extensive outpatient student fieldwork.
