Speech Language Pathologist, PRN, Acute Care Rehab, Baptist South

* Offering up to $5,000 Sign on Bonus * *Relocation Available* Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Speech Language Pathologist to our Acute Care Rehab Team at our Baptist South location. This is a PRN position, PRN team member will assist with ensuring no coverage gaps. This Speech Language Pathologist must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.

While not required, at least one year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) is also strongly preferred. Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care Rehab,

Evaluates, diagnoses, develops and implements a treatment plan for patients of all diagnoses. Provides care for patients who present with a variety of medical conditions/dysfunctions such as neurological (stroke, seizures, movement disorders, Guillain barre), respiratory, and general medical conditions which impact swallowing, speech, language or cognitive-communication skills. Provides extensive patient/family education.

Participates in multidisciplinary team care with other rehab professionals, nursing, physicians, dietitians, social services, respiratory, support staff, etc. Works in a fast-paced setting requiring good time management, detailed documentation skills in the EMR, self-directed, and effective communication skills.
