Speech Language Pathologist at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is Perdiem and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. The Speech-Language Pathologist supports the mission, vision, core values, and objectives of Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center located in Torrance and San Pedro. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing patient evaluations, establishing and implementing a plan of care, monitoring patient's progress, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning.
The Speech-Language Pathologist should demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skills including direct, honest, and compassionate behavior. The Speech Therapist is a licensed professional who is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice in accordance with regulatory agencies and the American Speech Therapy Association (ASHA). The Speech Therapist demonstrates proficient clinical knowledge and skills in providing and initiating treatment programs for individuals with swallowing, speech and cognitive impairments.
