The practice of speech-language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance provided as needed. Therapists completing a Clinical Fellowship year will receive supervision in accordance with rules delineated by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Required
Master's Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Completion of, or eligibility for, Clinical Fellowship Year. Coursework/Training: Speech-Language Pathology Area of Specialization - Completion of competencies for: Therapeutic feedings, Patient transfers, and Assistance with Modified Barium Swallow studies.
Upon hire: California Speech Language Pathologist License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Coursework/Training: Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management. 1 year acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience.
