A Speech-Language Pathologist consists of ongoing mentorship focusing on requirements, as outlined by ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association). The Speech-Language Pathologist will also participate in program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity improvement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. This position is responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients who persistently demonstrate communicative deficits in any modality: speaking, listening, reading, and/or writing.
This position is also responsible for any patient who has difficulty managing his/her secretions or in swallowing.
