Licensure
✓Holds or is eligible for Illinois licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
Certifications
✓Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Or certification in neurological communication disorders by the Academy of Neurological Communication Disorders and Sciences. preferred
Education
✓Master's level degree from an ASHA accredited university.
Qualifications
✓Ability to evaluate and diagnose speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders.
✓Ability to treat speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders in school-aged children.
✓Three years post-Fellow experience.
✓Intermediate to advanced level of clinical skills, with advanced competence in specialty areas.
✓Possess excellent problem solving skills and analytic ability to appropriately diagnose clients' problems and develop rehabilitation plans.
✓Ability to approach each situation with an open mind and positive attitude; ability to work and interact well with others so that customer service remains a priority.
✓Capable of handling a busy, varying caseload; possess good organizational skills.
Clinical Specialty Recognition by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. preferred
