Certifications
Possession of current CPR certification. preferred
Education
✓Possession of a high school diploma.
✓Graduate from an accredited training program in Electroneurodiagnostics or a combination of training and experience.
Successful completion of accredited neurodiagnostic program. preferred
Qualifications
✓Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.)
✓At least two years of experience as an EEG Technologist.
✓At least two years’ experience in an acute care hospital setting.
✓Knowledge and understanding of basic medical terminology.
✓Experience with computerized medical equipment.
✓Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
✓Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, and on line communication.
✓Possession of good interpersonal, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills.
✓Ability to work variable shifts and days.
✓Demonstrates ability to be an independent, motivated self-starter
Completion of at least 12 months of fulltime (or equivalent) practical training performing NCSs under the preferred
direct supervision of an EDX physician. preferred
Prior experience working in an academic medical center environment. preferred
About the role
The Senior EEG Technologist, under the direction of Supervisor and medical director will participate as an integral member of the Neurology Department by performing mainly Electromyograms, evoked potentials (EPs) and other specialized procedures in both adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient settings, including nursing floors, intensive care units and other specialized locations.
