Nurse position at the local county Jail and state prison located at Spence Field. Work with a team of nurses, aide, nurse practitioner, and medical director to provide day to day care of inmates at the facilities. Work includes detailed intake assessments of chronic conditions, medications, and PMSFH, as well as working under protocols to treat acute pain, injuries, illness, and other medical issues.
Unique opportunity to work in an urgent care type environment and use a variety of nursing skills and critical thinking. Safety protocols are in place to protect employees, as well as a brand new, dedicated space given for medical practice as part of the new Jail expansion. Strong LPN candidates would also be considered.
Ability to problem solve and work independently are required. Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (preferred) Licensed Practical Nurse (preferred)
