Key
Selects appropriate sterilization/disinfection technique for items. Maintains sterilization and environment quality controls. Decontaminates, processes, stores sterile instrumentation, hardware, and equipment for intraoperative use, using infection control procedures.
Works collaboratively with operating room personnel to assist with all perioperative phases including but not limited to case turnovers. Is responsible for maintaining and monitoring accurate records of maintenance on sterilization equipment, power equipment and surgical instrumentation. Manages surgical inventory and performs other routine tasks, as assigned.
Required
High School diploma or GED.1 year experience.
Sterile Processing Technician certification (CSPDT).2 years experience in Central Supply, Sterile Processing or Surgical Instrumentation Room. Previous exposure to orthopedic instruments. The pay range for this position is $19.56 - $24.45/hour.
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
