Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time. Your responsibilities will include: Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries What qualifications you will need: Training in basic aseptic technique and sterile processing One year experience in surgical instrument sterilization processing, preferably in an acute care or ambulatory surgery center environment Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***online certification not acceptable Certification in Central Processing as per facility and state regulatory requirements Benefits Jacksonville Surgery Center offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
