USPI Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. We have 6 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology.
We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.
The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases. #USP-123 #LI-CM1
Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician High School Diploma or Equivalent 2-3 years' experience as Instrument Room Technician. Experience with all types of sterilizers. Knows operating room instrumentation.
Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray. Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer. Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
Ability to prepare reports and keep records. Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
