Sterile Processing Technician - Ambulatory Surgery Center, Full Time, Day

This position is responsible for the cleaning, disinfection, inspection, assembly and sterilization of instruments, supplies, linens and assembly of surgical case carts in Sterile Processing in accordance with established policies, procedures and industry standards.

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures while adhering to departmental quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages and sterilizes instrumentation of all departments according to established policies and procedures. Stores supplies, instrument trays, and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures and industry standards.

Receives requests for patient care equipment and delivers to unit in a timely manner. Performs biological and chemical testing of sterilization equipment in accordance with quality assurance standards. Ensures complete and accurate assembly of surgical and code carts.

Participates in education programs, in-service meetings and demonstrates knowledge of assigned specialty. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Tech I

$19.29 - $27.88:High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Certification in Sterile Processing Technology preferred. Ability to follow detailed instructions, established procedures, and standardized work processes.

Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills. Experience in roles requiring accuracy, quality control, inventory management, or adherence to established processes (e.g., retail, hospitality, or other process-driven environments), preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a high stress area. Basic computer proficiency preferred. Ability to operate automated and technical equipment.

Qualifications Tech II

$20.91 - $29.28: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Current certification in Sterile Processing Technology required at the time of hire or placement date. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.

Minimum of two years of Sterile Processing experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of sterile processing procedures, instrumentation, and sterilization methods. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a high stress area.
