Description: Position Purpose Central service technicians, also called sterile processing technicians or central service (CS) professionals, play a critical role in preventing infection by sterilizing, cleaning, processing, assembling, storing, and distributing medical supplies .
Cleans, inspects, assembles and sterilizes instruments and other materials according to prescribed procedures and techniques. Stores, rotates and insures the instruments and other items are labeled correctly. Distributes clean and retrieves soiled instruments, rental equipment and other materials on a scheduled or emergency basis
High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Central Service Technician course preferred At least 1 year of experience preferred. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization.
