You’ll need
Certifications
✓Pass and maintain Central Service Certification (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) within 6 months of date of hire or transfer into position.
One or more years of Central Service Certification (CBSPD or IAHCSMM). preferred
Education
✓High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
✓1-2 years of Sterile Processing or equivalent OR experience.
✓Must possess manual dexterity, computer skills, and be able to work under pressure.
✓Must be able to read, spell and do simple math, write clearly and understand written and oral instructions.
3-5 years of Level 1 Trauma Center SPD or equivalent OR experience. preferred
Necessary Skills preferred
Knowledge in all aspects of supply/equipment processing, including surgical instrumentation. preferred
Knowledge in the use of autoclave, steris, washer/disinfection, sterrad, etc. preferred
Effective oral and written communication skills. preferred
Able to work closely with others in positive ways. preferred
Be Proficient with functions in a SPD environment. preferred
Be Proficient at critical thinking in a SPD environment. preferred
Be Proficient with technical skills in a SPD environment. preferred
Ability to follow up with other employees in an effective manner regarding tasks and needed assignments. preferred
