Sterile Processing Tech Trainee at Des Peres Square Surgery Center The Sterile Processing Technician Trainee is an entry-level position designed for individuals pursuing a career in Sterile Processing through a structured educational pathway supported by Stepful. Under supervision, trainees learn decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while progressing toward certification and employment as a Sterile Processing Technician.
Participate in Stepful coursework and competencies Assist with instrument decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization preparation, inventory management, storage and distribution of sterile supplies Maintain documentation Support quality and infection prevention initiatives
High School Diploma or GED Enrollment in or eligibility for a Stepful-supported Sterile Processing Technician training program Basic computer proficiency Effective communication skills
