You’ll need
Certifications
✓CPR/AED certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six weeks of employment.
✓CSCS Certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is required within one year of date hired.
Certification on one of the following areas is preferred at date of hire: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA), USA Weightlifting, and/or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
Education
✓A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of exercise science, kinesiology, health, physical education
✓Master's degree in one of the identified bachelor's degree areas is
✓Possess a thorough understanding of the physiological basis of exercise and the ability to program/instruct according to the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and USA Weightlifting (USAW) guidelines.
Highly desirable two or more years of experience in the strength and conditioning field at the high school, college preferred
Qualifications
✓recreation or other closely related discipline is required.

✓Competency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills is required.
