Student Nurses at UH Samaritan Medical Center have the opportunity to work on the following units: Med/surg, ICU Float pool What can I do as a NAII? NA IIs work under the direction of an RN to provide safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status.
Responsibilities include: Direct patient care delivery, including, but not limited to: ADLs/hygiene, Vital signs, I&O, Bladder scanning, EKG, Glucometer & other point of care testing (where applicable) and Restraints Communication and documentation of interventions and observations Participation in quality improvement process Involved in learning and self-improvement Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers Why choose UH as a Student Nurse?

Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
