✓Currently enrolled in good academic standing in an accredited pre-licensure MSN, BSN or ADN program.
Qualifications
✓Passing grade (“C” or better) in Fundamentals/Foundations of Nursing (transcript required).
✓Demonstrates knowledge of universal blood and body fluid precautions and aseptic technique.
✓Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
✓The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described
✓Effective communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required to effectively interact with patients, families, nurses and other staff.

About the role

Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, participates in the nursing process in delivering care to patients and their families. Duties and responsibilities include direct care activities required in daily practice on the assigned unit. Fulfillment of the job duties requires the employee to have access to medication storage areas and transport medications to/from medication storage and delivery areas.
