Thomas As a Student Nurse, you'll receive structured training, specialty-specific education, and hands-on clinical experience while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals. Gain hands-on patient care experience while applying classroom learning, building confidence and clinical skills, learning from experienced nurses, and preparing for a successful transition into an RN role after graduation.
What You'll Gain: Training & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Safe Movement and Responsible Transfer (SMART) Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) UAP Orientation Phlebotomy and 12-Lead EKGs Hands-On Clinical Experience Gain valuable bedside experience providing direct patient care, including: Bathing, feeding, and personal hygiene assistance Mouth care and peri care Monitoring and documenting intake and output (I&O) Positioning, turning, and ambulating patients Bed making and maintaining a safe patient environment Clinical documentation and patient communication
Education, Credentials, Licenses: High School diploma or GED Currently enrolled in good standing at an accredited nursing program Successful completion of first clinical rotation in an accredited nursing program Minimum 2.75 GPA Not listed on Kentucky or Indiana Abuse Registry Specialized Knowledge: Basic math skills Basic computer knowledge Effective verbal and written communication skills FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Right Career.
