Under supervision, provides ultrasound imaging and patient care as per protocol, up to the level of documented competency. Performs other duties as assigned. Student Ultrasound Technologists are not permitted to perform imaging in the operating room or for sterile procedures unless a registered technologist is in the room with them.
High school diploma or equivalent; Currently enrolled and in good standing as a second year student in an approved diagnostic medical ultrasound program. Completed first year of ultrasound education; must be in second year of education in an approved diagnostic medical ultrasound program; Healthcare Provider CPR within six months of hire date.
