Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, urgent care sites, along with our 17,000 employees, more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and 2,000 volunteers. This is a full time, benefited position working 8-hr varied nights. Located in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego on Rehco Road.

Grow your leadership skills as a Telemetry Technician Supervisor, supporting and guiding a team of skilled telemetry techs. Make an impact on the night shift, working in a focused, collaborative environment that provides around-the-clock patient care.
Assign/direct work of centralized patient monitoring services providing services for patient care sites including continuous telemetry, Virtual Patient Observation (VPO), and end-tidal CO2 monitoring. Oversite of 50 telemetry and VPO techs. Coach staff and provide functional expertise essential to support operations of the department.
Ensure policy and procedures are followed by staff. Participate in and oversee daily productivity and create staffing schedules. Responsible for hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, and discipline of employees.
Facilitate teamwork and good interdepartmental relationships and collaborate with patient care sites to meet the needs of patients and other care providers. Helps to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives. May be required to perform staff functions, when needed, to ensure appropriate staffing levels and minimize operational disruption.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized
Completion of formal telemetry training which may include: a class or online course, Electrocardiogram (EKG) or Arrythmia Certification course or completion of a Paramedic, Cardio-Vascular, EMT, MD or RN program, or other cardiac related program. Two years of Cardiac Monitoring experience. Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: National EKG Certification.
