Overview Under limited supervision, provides technical and operational leadership for designated imaging modalities. Oversees staff performance, workflows, equipment, staffing, scheduling, quality, and regulatory compliance while working directly in the modality. Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
Develop and maintain modality policies, procedures, quality control, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance. Monitor equipment, supplies, inventory, and operational needs. Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet patient and department needs.
Partner with leadership on budgets, capital needs, staff performance, education, and professional development. Train, orient, coach, and mentor staff; provide performance feedback and partner with HR on performance management as needed. Collaborate across departments to resolve clinical and operational issues and support a positive patient experience.
Ensure accurate patient care documentation and assist with troubleshooting imaging, reporting, and billing issues. Work Experience Qualifications Education Associate degree, or Certificate, in the radiologic technology field Experience 3-5 years as a clinical imaging professional Licensures/Certifications Certification in one of the following: RAD, CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, PET CT, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland as applicable Preferred Education Bachelor degree in health sciences or a related field.
