- The Supervisor assumes responsibility to manage the shift to shift operations of the unit/department to provide high quality safe patient care and support medical providers in a safe practice environment. The Supervisor aids to develop staff; collaborates with multidisciplinary professionals; and provides service excellence. This individual remains competent in the area of practice. The Supervisor assists the Director with but not limited to:
- Workforce planning and development;
- Establishing and implementing standards for practice and maintain authority, accountability and responsibility for staff in their area of responsibility;
- The ongoing support and cultivation of a culture of shared decision making;
- Budgeting , integration and planning. Supervises department operations and staff: Provides general direction, organization, monitoring, and supervision for department operations. This individual assumes the responsibility for daily oversight of administrative responsibility for the Adult and Pediatric Hospitalist, Intensivist, and Behavioral Health inpatient provider services as well as assisting with the telehealth service contracts for TeleNeuro, TeleStroke, and IDConnect. The Supervisor will have a visible presence and involvement with the Inpatient Provider Services departments and multiple hospital departments including the Medical Staff Office, community providers and specialty physicians. This position is responsible for contributing to improved workflow processes, communications, and standards, as well as onsite initiatives for operational, financial, and clinical performance. - Courage MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in business or a healthcare related field preferred

License/Certification/Registration: None SUPERVISION RECEIVED Receives minimal supervision from the director. Performs all duties in an independent manner. SUPERVISION GIVEN Supervises the activities of the Hospital Provider Services Departments
