Licensure
✓Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC.
Certifications
✓Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
✓Primary Source Verification (if applicable):
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing.
✓This section addresses the additional physical requirements/hazards on the associate in the role.
BSN preferred.
Qualifications
✓A minimum of 5 years of RN work experience, 2 of which must have been in an Occupational Medicine setting.
✓Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
✓Patient Population
✓The following must be included in all position descriptions that involve direct or indirect patient care. This is a Joint Commission requirement. Also, select the age of the patient population served:
✓Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
✓Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs
