You’ll need
Licensure
✓Must be actively licensed by The State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Certifications
✓Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by The National Board for Respiratory Care.
✓Basic Life Support Healthcare provider certification (American Heart Association) is required.
✓The Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP)
✓PALS Certification
✓or ACLS Certification is preferred, depending upon patient care area assigned and the primary patient populations served and is required to be obtained within 6 to 12 months of employment.
Asthma Educator-Certified preferred
Education
✓Must be a graduate of a 2-4 year accredited Respiratory Care Practitioner program.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Qualifications
✓A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a tertiary health care environment and/or academic medical center, demonstrating a proficiency in Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal Respiratory Care Services is required.
✓Must be a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care-AARC.
Minimum of 3 years’ previous supervisory/leadership experience in a large and diverse Respiratory Care department preferred
