Description

Responsible for delivering requested supplies and/or equipment from Distribution to the various user departments within the facility. All tasks are completed under direct supervision of Distribution Supervisor, or designated Charge Technician (if applicable)Major Job FunctionsThe following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below.

In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Provide supplies to walk-in customers and utilize proper documentation to ensure that the supplies that were dispensed are issued to respective accountsProcesses pick tickets and stage appropriate orders for deliveries to external customersDeliver special order supplies and equipment to various requestors and obtain signatures to verify deliveriesBreak down pallets and put away supplies received into inventoryVerify correct items, manufacturer codes, expiration dates and quantities receivedSafely operate the manual or electric pallet jacks to deliver supplies and equipment to requestorsPerform the duties associated with the facility’s mailroomInitiate all communication both oral and written to purchasing, vendor, or requestors regarding any issues in relation to inbound suppliesResponsible for picking up, returning and sanitizing work area before and after assigned shiftPerform scheduled rounds and deliver requested supplies and equipment from Central SupplyPerform all Stat runs as necessaryAssemble specialty kits that are to be restocked on the unitsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent requiredValid North Carolina driver’s license which will be verified by Risk Management for inclusion in CFV vehicle insuranceWork

1 year previous hospital experience preferred3 months’ experience consistently performing tasks for Tech I must be met, prior to competency sign off and consideration for training and advancement to Tech IIKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Reads, writes, and speaks fluent EnglishAbility to interact with other employees in CS as well as other departments in the facilityExcellent customer service skills, to include effective oral communication, and critical thinking skillsAbility to be flexible to daily changes in operational and patient care issuesAbility to multi-task if necessaryDiscretion in the proper handling of confidential information is mandatoryAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate these when necessaryPhysical
