Description Specialization: Surgery General
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls is seeking a General Surgeon, preferably who is available in the next 90-120 days to join established group in Idaho Falls, Idaho. It serves as the regions healthcare hub, serving Southeast Idaho, Western Wyoming, Western Montana. This part of the country offers destination fly-fishing, downhill skiing, and National Parks making it a popular year-round destination for visitors. EIRMC is home to an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (of only two in Idaho), and the only ABA Verified Burn Center in the state of Idaho.
A robust regional helicopter and ground medical rescue service support its comprehensive trauma and burn program. In addition to the normal traumatic motor vehicle accidents, EIRMC sees more than its share of ski accidents, bison gorings, and hot pot injuries which makes for one of the highest injury severity indexes experienced in a Level 2 trauma setting. In addition to a robust trauma program, the general surgery team at EIRMC provide elective and emergent general surgery, foregut surgery, and surgical cancer care, including breast cancer care, in partnership with community oncologists.
