High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Experience
2 years related experience in healthcare environment (Preferred)
Previous Surgery Scheduling experience (Strongly Preferred)

Coordinate, register and schedule appointments for patients according to availability.
Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
Ensure all required tests needed prior to surgery are done.
Coordinate and ensure necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc is arranged prior to scheduled procedure.
Schedule any necessary follow-up appointments.
Communicate and answer patients' questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival / departure instructions relative to procedure. Additional perks of being a Texas Health Physicians Group Surgery Scheduling Specialist
