Surgery Technician

Organization: CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Van Ness Position Overview: Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.

EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. HS Diploma: High School or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience. Completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider. Surgical Technician Certification (TS-C, CST, or NRST) is required to be eligible for incentive, if allowed per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for union-represented employees. Preferred experience as typically acquired in Two (2) years scrubbing experience at CPMC required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies. Requires communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Requires flexibility to accommodate: Emergencies.

Full Time Shift Hours: 8 Days of the Week: Variable Weekend

is $56.50 to $67.51 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
