Responsibilities Holds retractors as directed by the surgical team. This position will assist with cleaning, preparing, storing, distributing, and maintaining various supplies, equipment and instruments to assure efficiency and patient safety in the operating room under the supervision and direction of the Circulator RN and Scrub Position Staff member. Demonstrates written, interpersonal, and communication skills as appropriate to position One of the following: Completion of On-the-job training through IH Surgical Aide Trainee process Minimum of 1 of the most recent 2 years’ experience working as a Surgical Aide/Surgical Assistant Working knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment and procedures Licensure/Registration/Certification: BLS
