Licensure
✓Eligible for Connecticut State License and State & Federal Controlled Substance Registration
Certifications
✓PA/NP will be required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process.
✓Graduates of an accredited Physician Assistant with NCCPA certification / Nurse Practitioner Program
✓BLS required.
Qualifications
✓Experience in a minimum level 3 trauma activation response
✓Evidence of current competence to practice as a PA/NP via appropriate reference letters from physicians and other practitioners must be able to be obtained during the Medical Staff appointment process in order to be eligible.
✓ATLS required for APPs covering trauma service.
On the job training provided. However, surgical inpatient experience of 1-3 years, training in robotics, and/or surgical residency training is highly preferred.
