✓Must have current licensure as indicated by profession (LPN must be licensed by State Board of Nursing).
Certifications
Certification in Surgical Technology preferred
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent.
✓Must possess one of the following: Certification from an accredited school for Operating Room Technician or within 90 days of successful program completion; or graduate from an accredited practical nursing school, or extensive preparation through on-the-job training.
✓A graduate of an accredited program in Surgical Technology or within 90 days of successful program completion may substitute for experience.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of two (2) years training in surgical technology from a comparable medical institution.
✓LPNs must have one (1) years’ experience as a scrub technician.
✓Proficient Knowledge of duties and responsibilities of a surgical technician. The ability to communicate with co-workers in a professional manner. The ability to learn advanced procedures, instruments, and techniques.

High school diploma or equivalent.
