S. Diploma or Equivalent is required Previous patient care experience is preferred 2 years of PCA experience or 6 months surgical associate experience is strongly preferred BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required Read, write and speak English; Able to stand/walk for majority of hours of their work shift; Easily move heavy equipment & supplies (up to 250 lbs on wheels) without endangering themselves or others.
Completes routine stocking chores: Ensures two arm boards and safety strap available for case Stocks and replaces suction liners Assists in moving patients to and from the operating room suites. Assists in room cleanup before and/or after surgery. Follows directions of circulating nurse in obtaining equipment, instruments and supplies as requested.
