Day shift | PRN #LI-TO1 How you’ll make an impact in this role Expertly position and stabilize patients to optimize surgical site exposure while ensuring comfort and safety. Provide clear visibility of the surgical site using retraction, tissue manipulation, suctioning, and irrigation. Apply advanced techniques to effectively achieve temporary and permanent bleeding control during procedures.
Assist with closing body planes, applying wound dressings, and securing drainage systems. Collaborate with the team to set up the operating room based on surgeon preferences and assist with post-case cleanup. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Assistant credentialed from the American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
