✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.
Certifications
✓To be successful in this role, you will need current surgical technology certification, strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of sterile technique, and the ability to stay calm and communicate effectively as part of a fast-paced surgical team.
✓Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
✓Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech.
✓Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Education
✓High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Qualifications
✓Completion of an approved Surgical Technician
✓program.
✓A person performing Surgical
One (1) year of experience in a surgical setting preferred

The Surgery Department at Penrose Hospital has 16 OR suites and performs 30 – 40 cases per day. preferred
We specialize in heart, vascular, general, gynecology, urology, ortho, spine, neuro, plastics, robotics, and trauma procedures on adult patients only. preferred

About the role

As our Certified Surgical Tech, you will work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN, bringing your certified expertise to keep the operating room organized, sterile, and ready for safe, efficient surgical procedures.
