Surgical Technician Certified – Birthing Inn Bring Your Surgical Expertise to Women's Care. As a Certified Surgical Technologist at the Froedtert South Birthing Inn, you'll support the surgical team in providing safe and effective care during obstetric and gynecologic procedures. You'll work closely with surgeons, registered nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure the operating room is prepared, organized, and safe for every procedure.
Prepare operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures. Ensure instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functioning properly. Establish and maintain a sterile field.
Assist the surgical team throughout procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other members of the surgical team. Pass instruments and supplies during procedures.
Assist with patient positioning and preparation. Perform accurate counts of instruments, needles, sponges, and other supplies. Handle specimens according to established procedures.
Clean and restock operating rooms and sterile core areas. Assist with operating room turnover. Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards.
Communicate effectively with the surgical team. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in Surgical Technology preferred/required according to position requirements.
Graduate of an accredited Operating Room Technician or Surgical Technology program. Current NBSTSA certification. Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Strong understanding of sterile and aseptic technique. Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, instrumentation, and equipment. Pay & Benefits $25.00–$38.00 per hour. | Differentials for PMs, Nights & Weekends.
