You’ll need
Licensure
✓On-the-job training combined with a valid license will be considered as an equivalent substitute for the completion of a Surgical Technology Program.
✓Must be licensed by the Board of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia to practice as a Surgical Technologist or Certified Surgical Technologist.
Certifications
✓Must hold an active, unexpired BLS certification.
✓Basic Life Saving (required)
✓Surgical Technologist (required)
Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting preferred.
Education
✓High school diploma and successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
✓High School (required)
Qualifications
✓One year of experience is preferred. Specialty areas may require a certain level of experience.
