Position Description: Surgical Technologist Department Pool The Surgical Technologist Department Pool is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of an RN according to accepted clinical standards of care. High School Diploma or Equivalent Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program CST (Surgical Tech) certification Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Specific
Must have knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up as well as laser equipment use and maintenance.
