It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services.

The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns.

Assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Assures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Qualifications EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Must have successfully completed a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program and hold a Surgical Technologist Certification from a national certifying body recognized by the Department of Public Health: The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (CST) or the National Center for Competency Testing (TS-C).

Candidates without current certification who have successfully completed an accredited Surgical Technologist program, but has not, as of the date of hire, obtained a Surgical Technologist Certification must obtain such certification within 90 days of hire from a national certifying body recognized by the Department of Public Health: The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (CST) or the National Center for Competency Testing (TS-C).

Surgical Technicians who acted within the role of a Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) on, or before October 1, 2023, may be grandfathered in per CT Public Act 23-195. Must maintain Certification while employed in this role. Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment within this role.
