Certifications
✓Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire through the American Heart Association.
✓IL & IA Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 60 days of hire.
Education
✓High school diploma or GED required .
✓Graduate from an accredited education program for Surgical Technology, OR graduate from an appropriate training program in the US Armed Forces OR Medical Certification OR LPN required .
Qualifications
✓IL & IA Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training in state(s) where providing care required within 60 days of hire.
Previous surgical technologist or equivalent experience preferred.

Prepare operating rooms for procedures by ensuring instruments, equipment, and supplies are available, functional, and aligned with surgeon preferences.

Assist with patient preparationAssist with patient preparation, positioning, draping, and transfer activities to support safe, efficient surgical care
Maintain strict sterile techniqueMaintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention standards throughout surgical procedures
Anticipate surgeon needs byAnticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments, managing retractors, applying suction, and providing procedural support
Perform surgical counts andPerform surgical counts and assist with specimen handling, labeling, and transport to ensure accuracy and patient safety
