Surgical Technologist Intern (3p-8p) Bristol, TN

​​The Scrub tech Intern I performs functions as directed by the Scrub tech and the Central Sterile Processing tech. This position must be willing to work as an integral part of the surgical team and is committed to continuing Education and upgrading skills. The position must have an awareness of cost and equipment management.

The position will demonstrate competency in the care of patients of all age groups. This position must work within the scope of the Surgical Tech and the Central Sterile Processing Policies and Procedures as well as those of the hospital. Must provide prompt and safe delivery of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment realizing a break in aseptic technique can be costly in the lives of susceptible patients.

The Scrub Tech Intern I has completed the first semester of their surgical technologist coursework.

​Must have successfully completed the first semester of their surgical technologist classes or have completed a course that did not require clinical hours and received the NCCT TS-C. Must have an official letter of verification from an instructor stating the status of the student. Grade point average of 2.0 or above must be maintained.
