The Talent Development Coordinator supports all HMH Talent Development Programs, including (but not limited to) the Administrative Fellowship Program, the Leadership Development Program portfolio, Team Hackensack Meridian University offerings, CEU coordination, and other programs that may be added in accordance with the strategic plan. The Talent Development Coordinator manages each program from nomination through graduation and is the main logistics partner for program owners, fellows, executive preceptors, and internal and external faculty.
Key responsibilities include recruiting and tracking executive preceptors, building and distributing rotation and program schedules for multi-month cohorts, maintaining the project tracker and escalating slipping deadlines to the director, and producing program communications such as welcome packets, session reminders, pre-work, and mail-merged certificates and notices. The Talent Development Coordinator also manages programs in HR systems and the Learning Management System (LMS), including setting up sessions, managing enrollments, and recording completions and CEU credit.
The role builds and analyzes program surveys and data to create executive summaries for leadership. Responsibilities A day in the life of a Talent Development Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: Manage each program from nomination through graduation, recruitment timelines, interview days (if applicable), cohort rosters, rotation calendars, pre-work, and graduation ceremonies. Recruit and track executive preceptors.
Keep them on track with scheduled checkpoints. Coordinate logistics with internal leaders and external faculty. Meet regularly with program owners and fellows, maintain the project tracker, and escalate slipping deadlines to the director.
Draft welcome packets, session reminders, pre-work assignments, and survey invitations. Run mail merges for certificates, nomination letters, and acceptance notices. Work across HR systems, including the Learning Management System (LMS), build program and workshop sessions, manage enrollments, record completions and CEU credit, and run reports.
Build and analyze program surveys. Pull data from HR systems and the LMS, including completion rates, attendance, participation, and evaluation scores, and build executive summary decks for senior leadership. Distribute rotation and program schedules across multi-month cohorts.
Set preceptor-fellow meetings and produce agendas and post-meeting summaries with action items. Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor's degree and/or five years' experience working in healthcare. Advanced proficiency in working with long documents, spreadsheets (including pivot tables), mail merges, and complex report generation. Experience with HR systems, including Learning Management Systems (LMS); virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom/Teams); and presentation design.
Use of AI to accelerate work and analysis of programs. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.

Compensation Minimum rate of $24.34 Hourly HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
